In the Bird room , two Hol-ee rollers are hanging from the bottom of long length of plastic chain that I have hanging up close to the ceiling. Luca hangs from the ball and takes the plastic in her beak and jiggles it to make the bell ring. She will stay hanging there-- just jiggling it with her beak for a long time. She also likes to hang upside down from the ball and she twists her body in order to make the ball (and herself) spin around in circles.
Tory hangs from the ball and really flaps his wings and kind of carries the ball up with him as flaps/flies/swings real hard. It is great exercise for him. He yells "WEEEEEeeeeee!!" as he does this! So funny!
I also stuff the balls with shreddable things like corn husks, sea grass rope, loofa, toy parts. I stuff the balls full of different food, veggies, a nut, popped popcorn...whatever fits inside it! As you can see, the parrots were all over them!"
Fill the Hol-lee Roller with nuts or your birds other favorite treats or veggies and create an instant foraging toy. Remember though that fresh foods such as veggies or fruit spoil quickly and must be replaced often.
Appropriate for medium & large birds.
